Christmas...

I love this time of year! I love the music, the baking, eating the cookies/pies/cakes that I bake, the SHOPPING and most of all I love how this season brings out the best in everyone. (Minus the guy who flipped Greg off the other day for driving too slow!) It seems like this Christmas went by way too fast, or I was way too busy being a mom to really enjoy it. Oh well, there's always next year. I'm excited about watching the marathon of "A Christmas Story"!! I seriously watch it at least three times during the 24 hour marathon! Ha!!

Noah is getting to be such a big boy! He's 5 1/2 months old and weighs 16 pounds!! He's just starting to experience baby food. He LOVES peas, squash and prunes so far. You should see him eat!! He leans forward with his mouth wide open and then when you put the spoon in he says, "mmm...mmm..mmmmm" while he's attempting to chew it. So cute. I love that guy.

Maternity Leave...

Hi everyone! So, I know I haven't posted in a month or so....I've been a very busy mom. Noah is wonderful! He is the best little baby. He usually only cries when he needs something or his tummy is hurting! We have some slight issues with belly aches. He laughs all the time and smiles at us all throughout the day! He is THE love of my life!! My favorite thing is the tiny breath he lets out after he yawns. It makes me giggle every time! Anyway, I'm hoping to post when I can since I'll be home for the next month and a half. If I don't type a lot...at least expect pics!

This is it...

Well, today is my actual due date! And...no baby! Ha! The plan is for me to go in tomorrow night and they will start my induction. I should have baby Noah some time on Wednesday. It's weird to think that it's all scheduled and planned out. I was looking forward to the romantic fantasy of it being spontaneous but, it is what it is I guess. It's kind of nice having it planned though because now I can shave, do my hair, put on makeup, make sure I have everything together and not be in a chaotic rush! So, I guess there is a bright side. Oh...and the fact that I know when I'll meet my little guy! That makes me so happy to think about! This is all so scary and exciting at the same time. Tomorrow, Greg and I are having "date day". We decided that since I don't go into the hospital until six o'clock at night, we would spend the day eating lunch, going to a movie, doing last minute "us" things so that our last day as a "couple" only wouldn't be spent worrying and being nervous. I hope that works! Anyway, hopefully next time I post something I'll have pics of our handsome son. I can't wait to update. Keep all three of us in your prayers please. Love you all!

Father's Day

Today was Greg's first Father's Day and I decided to cook him a special dinner (chicken bow tie pasta) and brownies!! We had a wonderful day relaxing together on the couch and swimming. Greg was talking to Noah alot today and that makes me so happy! I can tell he's excited to meet our little man! Anyway, just wanted to post some recent belly pics. Only a few weeks left! I need to go pack a hospital bag!!!!! I'm getting nervous! Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!

Baby Showers

I just wanted to express the joy I've had over the past few weeks at Noah's baby showers! We are having so much fun getting his room ready and organizing all his little boy things! I'm SO excited! I'm going to post pics as soon as I can of the showers and his new room! My family is the best...

My dear, sweet husband and my fantastically thoughtful mom are working hard as we speak on painting the baby's room. They are all about making it a surprise and won't let me enter the room until its painted, chair railing put up, and furniture assembled with bedding and all. They are so sweet to make this such a big deal for me! I can't wait to take pictures of the finished room to show all of you!! I think the finished date is supposed to be next weekend!!

I can't believe I'm 6 months along...

I'm 25 weeks pregnant and I don't know where the time has gone! I feel like it was just yesterday that I took four pregnancy tests to make sure they were accurate. Ha! I saw my doctor yesterday and he said Noah and I are doing great! He said I have minimal weight gain...which I was so happy about because I feel huge! :) He also said that he predicts that I have the baby right after or around the 4th of July!!! Yay! I cannot wait to see my sweet little angel baby's face! Until that time...here are some pics of our favorite baby things we've bought or had given to us! Dum, dum, dum, dum.....

Well...it's Sunday. It's also very evident that this is my last day of freedom for spring break. I'm a little bit sad, however, I'm surprisingly ready to go back to school tomorrow! I miss my kiddos and I miss my friends at work. Heck, I even miss the faces that I smile at every morning who really aren't my "friends".

Although it's a bittersweet feeling, I did have a WONDERFUL spring break doing much of nothing. I spent time with my dear sweet sister/friend Capree. You know you have a true friend when you hang out together for several hours at her house and even if the conversation is non-existent because we are both distracted by magazines or Internet or talk shows...it never feels awkward. It's nice to know she's just right there...with you...having a conversation without actually speaking sometimes. I just love our friendship! Earlier in the week we both went together and had our hair done! Of course, we ventured on a few shopping trips and then saw each other at church this morning. Most of you who know me well, know that I'm VERY untrusting and skeptical about becoming close with friends. You can thank my past friend experiences for that...but I feel totally at ease and trustful around her. Thank you Capree!!

I also had a slumber party with my mom Friday night because Greg was out of town for a bachelor party. We had too much fun shopping, eating, and giggling....a lot! I'm so blessed to have a mom that I actually want to spend time with! She is my hero.

Lastly, I just want to say something while we're being all mushy with who I love. I love Stacey Lynn Jolley Webb. She was on my mind during church this morning. The pastor was talking about "imagery"...you know, people who resemble the image of Jesus through their words, actions, spirit, attitude, etc. All I know is that everything he spoke about made me think of Stacey. She is my "image" that I follow. I think about her always..and sometimes when I'm trying to think Christ like, I find myself saying "What would Stacey do?" Not because I idolize her or anything weird like that. Simply because His light shines through her and you can't help but take notice to it. She makes me want to be a better person and makes everyone around her so happy. She lights up the room wherever she goes! I just wanted to get that off my chest. I'm so happy to have her as a best friend and I think the world is a better place with her in it! :)

Okay...now after I've poured all of these silly emotions out, I have to go grocery shopping. My little boy is craving lots of applesauce and peaches!! Mmmmm....peachessssssss. Muah!
